Lisa McKay is an Australian forensic psychologist and the Director of Training and Education Services for the Headington Institute, a non-profit that provides psychological and spiritual support for humanitarian workers around the world. Lisa writes education and training material and runs workshops nationally and internationally on traumatic stress and humanitarian work, a role that draws on both her background in trauma psychology and her experiences growing up as a “third culture kid” in Australia, Canada, Bangladesh, the US, Zimbabwe, Indonesia and the Philippines. For fun, Lisa writes essays about her own adventures (and misadventures) on the road. Her first novel is due to be released in September 2007.
